How’re the ratings, Dan?
More on Rep. Dan Patrick’s hate for Muslims from BurkaBlog:
Patrick [after his speech on the Senate floor] clarified for reporters why he was not present for the prayer. “It is important that we are tolerant as a people, but that doesn’t mean we have to endorse all faiths and that was my decision,” Patrick said. “I didn’t want my attendance on the floor seen as an endorsement.
So he doesn’t “endorse” Islam? Okay. I wasn’t aware the religions were in an election. I wonder which one Jon Stewart is voting for — or is his vote taken by default?
One veteran thought this of Patrick’s antics:
!@&* showboater!!
Someone should wake Danny-boy up tomorrow morning by loudly playing a recorded adhan outside his house.
I know Dan is an old radio man, a wannabe conservative Howard Stern whose second nature is to kick-and-scream when he doesn’t get his way, but when you become a state senator you should try to uphold some of the decorum of the office and the chamber:
Other senators confirmed that Patrick had planned to vocally protest the Imam’s presence, but was counseled against it by colleagues.
How did this man get into the Senate? He belongs in the House.
