Next week, the Texas House will be hearing Voter ID bills that would require all kinds of ridiculous forms of identification to both register to vote and to actually cast your vote and would — surprise! — depress minority, elderly and rural voter turn-out. The proposed legislation also brings up such important questions as: Are hunters better than fishers?

This isn’t even mentioning the fact that the laws aren’t necessary.
